Out with the old and in with the new!
End of the year is the perfect time to re-group, donate, recycle, & organize your home.
Why? Chances are you (and household members) received new things for the holidays. When finding new places for new gifts, it’s the perfect time to consider letting go of other things taking up valuable space.
If you have items that are no longer working or working for YOU, consider whether it’s recyclable, donation, or trash. i.e. holiday lights (recycle), holiday cards (recycle), non-wanted clothes (donation), old towels (donation), cracked dish (trash), etc . A quick Google search can alert you of donation pickups available in your area that come directly to your door. You may also consider a paper shredding event for old documents, a holiday lights recycle event, animal shelter needs, and the list goes on!
Remember having empty spaces like drawers, shelves, & corners is okay and actually refreshing. “less is more” is a true concept. Having less means more time for you because you’re taking care of less. This is especially important when it comes to moving and packing too! Your future self will thank you! If sorting through your things sounds exciting and overwhelming all at once, know that there are professional organizers available to work with together.
Go into the New Year re-newing your space!
